Sense regularly losing connection to Pixel 6

Hello - I have a Fitbit Sense and a Google Pixel 6 (Android 12) and my Sense will stop syncing with my Pixel on a regular basis (about once per week or every other week).  I have tried all of the suggested trouble shooting steps

  • Turn on / off bluetooth
  • Force close the Fitbit App
  • Validate that Fitbit App is up to date
  • Validate that Fitibit firmware is up to date
  • Restart phone
  • Restart Fitbit
  • Etc.

The only thing I have found to be truly effective is to:

  1. Forget Sense on Fitbit app
  2. Restart Sense
  3. Restart phone
  4. Repair Sense with phone via Fitbit app

Any insight / help about what I can do to keep my Sense more reliably connected to my Pixel.  It's got me strongly considering moving to Apple's ecosystem (which I'm very hesitant to do, but if things "just work", I'm tempted).

Thank you!

Just installed Android 13 Beta 4 on my Pixel 6 Pro, it also broke my connection with my Sense. It would sync once per reboot. I just tried removing and re-adding, and now I can't even do that. Highly frustrating

Yep, it's a royal cluster.... Unbelievable how Pixel 6 users would be ignored like this when Google owns Fitbit. There must be a big disconnect between their company divisions. Like you mentioned, even after removing the Sense from the app and trying to pair it again it struggle terribly just to add it back. That should not be. They updated the app last Friday and i thought it was fixed, but apparently it's not. It happened again with syncing issues. This is Android 13 ver 4. The public version is probably released in August. If they don't fix this when others update to 13 they're going have lots of support requests. I've actually purchased another item in the last week. It's a $50 fitness band starts with an A and ends with T that runs circles around the Sense with Bluetooth connectivity. It connected immediately and has stayed connected so far on my Pixel 6 Pro with Android 13, ver 4. Also the features this band has are almost the same as the Sense with 24 hour SPo2 tracking. That's right, you can get that reading on the fly anytime during the day or night. I think this is the last Fitbit device after having many of them. They're failing their customers and we're not going to buy into a name just because it sounds like one we've known for years. Time to wake up to other options.

Yep.  Same issues here.  I have upgraded my watch to match my Super King Air G1000nxi cockpit.

I am having the same problem.

I cannot keep mine synced. I have forgotten the device from my sync and now it won't connect at all. But I can sync it through the Fitbit app but not to my phone itself.

Won't share my messages or calls anymore from my phone.

I ended up getting a replacement under warranty, issue persisted. Sometime after the public release of Android 13 it started working again. No idea what changed, but at least it connects now?

Android 13 might have addressed the issue. Likewise here, no issues since
upgrade.

I installed the Android 13 update with the hope of it addressing the issue.
No sync issues since Android 13. But it's only been a couple of days.

I just forgot the device from my Fitbit app and reset up the device. I will see if that helps because I already have the updated version for all devices...

Did anyone find a fix for this as Versa 2 owner and losing connection randomly and getting no notifications, sometimes just restarting app gets it working but evert few weeks it will refuse to connect and only fix is to hold button down on watch to restart it then it connects.
