Sense stopped tracking my peak heart rate

Over the last few months my fitbit sense has stopped tracking my peak heart rate. When working out I'm either in fat burn or cardio but never peak when I used to be. I've been doing high intensity work outs and cycling, practically panting like a dog, can feel my heart pumping out of my chest yet according to my sense I am not hitting my peak. I have adjusted the strap, positioned it on my wrist differently and ensured the watch is clean but it still makes no difference. Its quite frustrating when I want to track my heart rate and improve it but my sense is giving me false readings. At the moment I would say I'm less fit now (because gyms are closed) then when I was hitting peak so I should be hitting it pretty hard at the moment! Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @EmmaFitSense.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and thank you for sharing your concern. I recommend restarting your watch and reviewing this help article where you can find tips to improve the accuracy of a heart-rate reading and factors that can affect heart rate: How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps!

I am having the same problem.  Every time I go to the gym and start a good workout my fitbit stops tracking my elevated heart rate.  I have restarted it several times with no luck. I have repositioned it several times and still no luck.  No matter how loose or tight I have it I still have the same problem.  Makes me really disappointed after doing such a great workout but not see it tracked on my fitbit. Did you find anything that worked?

I've reset mine a few times also with no luck. I reset it again last month after posting on here, on Thursday just passed I went on the stair master and it took about 10 minutes into the workout but it actually started to record my peak. It was only a short period of time but it has actually logged it in the app. I'm still not 100% happy though as my heart rate has consistently jumped after going the gym 5 days in a row... its seems your literally have to be pushing yourself to the highest level for it to record peak heart rate. Maybe try restting it again and try something high I'm cardio like the stair master (if you haven't already) and if it doesn't record it then there is a fault for sure.
