Sense stuck at 0% charge

Hi,

I bought my Mum a Fitbit Sense for her 60th birthday in January.

It has stopped charging and is stuck at 0%.

We have tried:

1-changing the chargers

2-cleaning the back of the watch and checking the pins are still functioning

3-alternative power sources

4-leaving it plugged in for over an hour

It just will not charge??

Is there anything else I can do to help my Mum fix this?

I am not currently with her so any clear instructions I can send to her would be amazing. Thank you.

Hi, @IamCiara, welcome, it's a pity your mother is having this problem with charging her "Sense". It's clear you've tried the usual solutions described in Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?  May I offer a couple of additional suggestions? You need to very carefully examine the pins on the face of the charging cable pad, they must be slightly proud of the surface and move freely if you gently wiggle them with your finger. The best way to clean the back of your "Sense" is to use rubbing alcohol and a cotton wool pad, in addition, I use a cotton bud with a twisting motion in each of the contact dimples to make sure they are clear.

As it says at the end of the article "If you still have trouble, contact "Customer Support" here, I recommend you use the chat facility or phone for prompt attention.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

While in the charger, I assume the face shows 0%. I would hold the button on for at least 10 seconds.

@IamCiara  - as @Gr4ndp4  says you can contact Fitbit support or buy a new charge cable online as it is most likely a source of the problem if you have cleaned the 4 contact holes well.

You many not be able to restart the watch anyeay if the battery is at 0%.
