Sense stuck on Fitbit logo

My Sense has the Fitbot symbol on the screen with a circle going about 3/4 of the way around it. It will not function and will not connect to the app. Any thoughts?

I have tried resetting it, I removed and re-installed the app and still nothing.

Hi there, @Nabisco @Jdsenter. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Sense devices.

Please note the issue you're having comes from performing a factory reset without first unpairing your Fitbit device from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings. With that being said, please try the following the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Sense from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Sense again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense.

If you can't get started with your Sense, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you continue having issues updating your Fitbit device, see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

@Nabisco I have seen a similar icon when you switch/install a new clock face, maybe go into the app and change your clock face?

Fitbit Ionic 72.1.15 (recalled), Fitbit Sense 128.6.17 and Pixel Watch 2 BP1A.250305.019.W3, March 2025.

Yep - ours is bricked exactly the same way. Stuck on the Fitbit logo since `May 5th.

now replaced with a Garmin Venu2s - 11 day battery life and all the Fitbit Premium features for FREE.

FITBIT have really lost the plot with their current range of smartwatches - shame as we’ve been fans since their first one…

Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. When the Fitbit logo disappears: Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

Will
