Sense touch screen is unresponsive

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Sense touch screen stopped working, and battery now drains in a single day.  I've noticed that four other people have had this issue in the last week.  I also see there was a Sense 2 firmware upgrade in July that has created issues for some users.  I would like to know if there was a firmware upgrade released for the Sense that could be causing this issue.  Presumably there is a fix coming if this is the case.  If not then I guess I will have to junk this watch and check out the competition...

My sense drains so quickly now.  Today now it won’t even turn on.  My phone says 18% and I can’t even get it to turn on.  I have tried different plug in, different cords, and adapters.  Nothing.  I’m about to go into the store and ask what arse is going on!

I put my watch on this morning and it was at 70%+ and an hour or two later it showed zero percent with the battery symbol.  It's dead and won't even respond to my charger.  I've cleaned all the ports... and nothing.    I bought it 1 year and 3 months ago.   I'm out of warranty.   Looks like I'm done with Fitbit unless they admit to some issue with the firmware and send a new device.

Hi all, a firmware update will not fix a faulty watch. It would seem your watch has a fault, most likely from moisture getting in, even though they are supposed to be waterproof.

If your watch is still under warranty it can be replaced.

Note: a Sense 2 doesn't have all the features a Sense has despite being more expensive.

Given that I have never worn my watch under water (not even washing hands) and have at most gently rinsed it off, this should not be an issue.  I also live in a very dry climate.  I received an email for 35% off after chatting with an AI robot on their chat page.   Everything on their site is already 25% off.  They don't give an extra 35%, just 35% off of their retail price.  I'm out...  I'm finding a new brand.   Is there any watch other than apple that isn't buggy?  I don't use iphone so I can't get an apple watch.

@DalPal - if you want extra features and good battery life consider Garmin, an everyday life Venu 2 Plus or a more sports orientated model.

My sense is not faulty. I just want to know how I do an update if needed.
I have not received anything about an update.
Does it happen when it is being charged?

Also… now that it is synced with google do we use the same software/ app
from Fitbit?

Thank you
Michelle

There are no software updates for our watch

@mchell - if there is an update you will get a prompt in the app but don't apply it if your watch is working unless there is something you need in it.

There is no change to the Fitbit app used for a Google account compared to a Fitbit account, though some functions may not work correctly with the Google account but if you are not affected it doesn't matter.

My Sense is doing the same thing.  I put it on the charger yesterday morning and when I went back to get it off the charger the only thing that shows is the Fitbit logo.  It won't turn on.  I will hold in the button trying to "reset" it, but it will only "pulse" and the logo appears.  NOTHING HAPPENS.  Has something with your firmware update messed up my/everyone's watch?  Sorry but these issues that we are all having today cannot be random.  My watch is only a little over a year old as well.  This is very disappointing as I have been a long time fitbit user.

I am having the same problem with my Sense battery not holding a charge.  Its so frustrating to have to deal with the

Fitbit techs.
