My new replacement Sense seems to work in every way I've tried, but once every couple of days, when I pick it up and push the button, the whole screen flashes brightly and it vibrates at discrete intervals, about once a second. This stops after about 4 flashes, possibly because I'm pushing the button trying to get it to stop. I guess it's harmless, except for some drain on the battery. Have I done something that causes this (maybe squeezing both sides of the watch at once?) and is there some setting that needs to be changed to stop it?

Hi @DougC-3 - it could be related to the watch face you are using, try a different one.
There is no specific setting for this except the button has several functions
There may be an issue with the last one which you can test by long press and it can be turned off in Settings. Also can be tested with the voice assistant app (scroll face left till it appears) it may work differently.
It can of course be how you operate the button if your hands are wet or something.
All the same sync the watch and try Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it.
It may help if there is a temporary problem.

Hi @DougC-3,
No setting to adjust. Suggest you restart the Sense. Press and hold the left sensor button area until you see the Fitbit logo. This will take 10+ secs. If this doesn't fix the issue, you should factory rese the Sense and set it up again as for a new device. If you still have an issue after doing this then it likely has a hardware fault. Contact Fitbit to report the issue telling them what you've done to try and address the issue, as they will also ask you to reset it as part of their remote attempt at fixing it. It's likely it will need replacing.

Thanks very much for your interest and suggestions, Guy_ and PaulMe. This really hasn't been a serious problem, just something of a curiosity. It has only done it once since I posted about it (just now). It happened when I took it off the charger, and I paid more attention: actually the whole screen stayed lit up continuously while the watch "chimed" (vibrated) 5 or maybe 6 times. Once per second, I think. I put it back on the charger and it was backup to 100% in just 15 seconds. It's possible that it did it the other times when I took it off the charger. I honestly can't remember more than 4 or possibly 5 times this has happened since I received it.. It was as though it had a flashlight mode. I'll pay attention to the way I take it off the charger and report back if this happens again.
