Hi All,
I'm at my wits end with this. I just can't seem to charge up my Fitbit Sense anymore.
I have cleaned to contacts on the device with a tootbrush (as instructed_ and also cotton-swabbed the charger with cotton wool and alcohol - but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?

did your watch have fitbit logo stuck on your watch that would not swipe or go back to normal clock screen? if not then you had same problem as I have mine was stuck on log icon on Nov. 3rd , then I left it uncharged for a whole day then recharge it to see if logo can disappear and bring back my normal clock with everthing that I can swipe on. it would not come back to life it was totally black and gone lost for good. the firmware really mess up my watch and there are a lot of people complaining the damage the firmware did on their watch. You did nothing wrong it was firmware that mess up most of customers' sense watch and I pretty sure most of other model fitbit watches so far. Sorry to hear yur watch died as well mine did too!

Hi there,
No, this wasn't my issue - it just wouldn't charge full stop. The most I got out of it was a 0% Indicator.
I did manage to get it up to 7% charge, but that was as much as I got, before the charge dissipated to zero again.
To rule out the charger, I have bought a new charger, which hopefully does the trick when it arrives.
If that doesn't back to square one - anyone able to help?
Thanks
Michael

I have the same issue and have taken all of the same measures. It looks like one of the pins is recessed on the charger. This is the second charger that has done that. Only I use this. I only charge it at my bedside. I’m very careful. I tried to find a charger oh the Fitbit site but I give up. This wasn’t cheap and I’m a Premium member.

So, was this just to get us to buy a new fitbit? Or will they replace ours? I am already aggravated. What "motivated " me was the challenges with friends. I hardly walk anymore. And my friends are no longer on my app to question it. They take an awesome app and screw around and mess up a good thing. If I have to buy another watch, I'll go to another brand. Which is sad since I have bragged about fitbit for several years.

This link explains what to do, sometimes it can be the charger (power source) others the cable itself which can be got under warranty or online.
How to check charge cable - Sense/Versa 3 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
Often the watch is fine and if not can also be replaced under warranty.

Thanks Janet
That is actually what has happened - three pins of the charger are ok, the other one is recessed.
It's a pity that the charger can't charge with three pins only, even if it charges slower.
Awaiting the new charger to see if that works.
Thanks
Michael

As above, I think this is down to one of the charger pins being recessed.
It's poor from FITBIT that a full fitbit watch cannot work because of a charger that costs around £3.50 on eBay.
There should be a Plan B technique to charge, if needed
Thanks
Michael

This is not a charging issue, it won't charge on anything, the firmware sent out caused this issue.

G'Day Michael,
It appears the charger issue has been with Sense since its initial release.
The problem is that the one or two of the pins (the same one or two) end up retracting, so your new charger should fix your problem.
While some people report success in getting them to pop back up, most don't.
My Sense died for the second time under warranty and, although the first one was replaced by taking it to the retailer, who sent it away and had a new one couriered out within three days, the second return became bigger than Ben Hur.
It involved Telstra Rewards, the local Telstra Shop, my Daughter (who bought the device as a gift for me using her Telstra Rewards Points) having to give me me partial authority on her Telstra Account and then full Authority, so that I could return the device.
However, it fell over on the first hurdle because the Return Form required the device's IMEI Number and I still haven't received a definitive answer from anyone, including Fitbit themselves as to whether the Sense has an IMEI or not and, if so, where to find it.
Since it is not a smartphone, I don't think it does.
I eventually got on to Fitbit themselves and they sent out a new charger the next day and my device is working again but I have to hope that if the new charger fails, it does so before I run out of warranty.
Regards
Garry
