Sense won’t open alarms, settings

My sense suddenly stopped opening some of the apps — specifically, the alarm and settings apps. And that means I can’t factory reset! Restarting does nothing other than get me out of the frozen apps. Help!

Hi, @ChrissyBu, welcome to the community, have you been able to sync your "Sense" with the Fitbit app on your phone? If you have not these articles may help How do Fitbit devices sync their data? and Why won't my Fitbit device sync? I apologise if you have already looked at this aspect. Allowing you have tried restarting (from the clock screen swipe left to & touch "settings"> swipe up to "Shut down" and touch "yes". wait a few minutes and restart by holding the side button until the logo appears & release) I suggest you talk to "Customer Support" here. I recommend you use the chat facility or phone for a prompt response. I hope this helps.

Cheers

Yeah, it syncs fine. Records everything fine. I can't use settings to shut down because it won't open settings - just starts to, then gets stuck on the little cog. I end up having to force restart (holding down the button until the logo appears) each time.

I just talked to customer support like you suggested, and they're replacing it. Apparently it's just broke!

@ChrissyBu I know you're getting a replacement but if you want to try, there is a way to factory reset without the touch screen:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.
