Sense won't stay connected to alexa

When I first set up my sense I connected to an Amazon account and alexa worked on my watch everytime but I needed to connect to a different Amazon account so I disconnected from that account and signed into a different one and now it only works when my phone is on and the Fitbit app is the current open app on my screen, even then it only works about 80% of the time. If I try to use alexa on my sense any other time I get a message on my watch that says "ask again, sorry, didn't get your request"

I have checked and made sure the Fitbit app is set to be allowed to run in the background, unless I'm missing something or something is closing it when I leave the app.

I feel like I've tried just about everything to get it working again but hoping someone can help. It's frustrating because it worked perfectly when I linked it to the first account.

So update, as I was writing this original post on my phone, that's how I discovered that alexa would only work on my sense with the Fitbit app open. Before realizing this I tried everything to get it fixed, disconnecting the watch, unlinking accounts, restarting my phone and watch, even factory resetting the watch, among many other attempts to resolve the issue. The only thing I didn't try was uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

I had little hope it would work so I didn't even bother unlinking any accounts or disconnecting the watch first. With everything connected and setup, I simply uninstalled, then reinstalled the app. Once installed I signed back into my Fitbit account (I didn't have to reconnect my sense) and signed back into Amazon for the voice assistant and sure enough everything is back to working perfectly!

Such a simple fix, I only wish I tried it first. 🤦‍:male_sign: I will keep this post up in hopes that it can help anyone else having similar issues with alexa on thier sense.
