Sense won't sync after or pair anymore

Hey guys!

So my Sense stopped syncing to my phone today, so I attempted the usual troubleshooting. I turned the Bluetooth off, reinstalled the app, hard restart in the Sense and iPhone. I even forgot the device. Nothing has worked.

When I attempt to add the device back to my Fitbit app (iOS), I am able to get as far as entering in the four digit code. But then it times out, and I get an error message saying it failed. I see it showing up in my Bluetooth list, when I get to this point, but it won’t let me forget it again within the iPhone settings?

Any advice, so someone that has done it all?

Hello there, @MWebs. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Sense before reaching out.

In addition to the steps you've done, please try the following in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Sense from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Sense.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Sense.
  • Once your Sense is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Sense first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Yeah I'm having the same problem. Nothing works. Fitbit has really gone down hill.

Same problem for me. Started yesterday and I’ve tried all the troubleshooting recommendations. Nothing works. Very frustrating.

This has been an issue for me for months now. In addition to the battery draining so fast that I might as well have an Apple Watch and charge it every day. It’s really frustrating that turning my Fitbit off to try to fix the issue makes me lose all the data that didn’t back up.  I’m glad for the Harmon recommendations, because I’m done with Fitbit.

Hi ,

Have been having the exact same problem for the past one week and tried everything that has been listed under troubleshooting.
Today was the most frustrating day trying to get help from 10 customer support people and none were useful and vaguely replying and taking so much of time .
finally I just did a factory reset and everything was working fine and well . So got it FIXED !!!!!

Went through all this and found out that a factory reset fixed it . YAY !!!!!

Well I got stuck up at this point as well with my iPhone and was able to enter the 4 digit code and it read ,” connecting your Fitbit “ which went on for a while and then read encountered an error . This happened gor several attempts .
