When setting up a new watch to replace an existing one there are some steps worth taking first.
Step 1. Before replacing the old watch [or sending it back for replacement], if it is still working, make a note of the Settings you have on it and any Alarms, sleep schedules etc, you have set. A few photos should help.
Step 2. In the Fitbit App, Gallery tile take screenshots of the names of the Apps you have installed and note any settings you may have done to them.
Step 3. In the Fitbit App, Gallery tile visit each one of the clocks you have installed and note their names. This will make it easier to install things again when the new watch is up and running.
Step 4. Make a note of the Notification, App notifications selection, just in case.
Step 5. Follow the replacement process which essentially installs the new watch, then reinstall things as they were , setup your old alarms and Watch settings from what you noted.
Step 6. Install the clocks and apps that are compatible with your new watch type.
Step 7. You may not be able to perform step 6 as it will tell you that they are not available - if you run across this and the things you are installing are made for your watch type consult this link. Incorrect Set up of a new device
The watch might not have received the latest firmware, [you can check your actual watch version against the latest here What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?] meaning that most clocks and apps are more recent and can't be loaded on an old version, hence you will see unavailable.
