Shaded benchmark symbol placement is confusing

I can't figure out why the placement of the benchmark symbols are placed the way they are in relation to actual sleep data. If you look at my uploaded image you will see that the awake benchmark is placed to the RIGHT of my sleep data. The rem benchmark is placed OVER my sleep data, the light benchmark is at the END of my sleep data and the deep benchmark is again OVER my sleep data. What am I missing here?IMG_4542.jpg

@SunsetRunner   I’ll try to explain it a different way.  Your yellow bar says you were awake for 46 minutes.  The dotted lines are farther to the right because people like you are awake for more than 46 minutes.  The time isn’t broken down below each graph.  But it looks like people like you are awake for about an hour to almost two hours.

When you look at your REM sleep, you got 1 hr 56 mins.  People like you get less REM sleep.  It looks like people like you get between 45 minutes and 1 hr 45 minutes.

People like you will have graphs that end within the dotted lines.

No apologies are needed for your post.  You didn’t do anything wrong.

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Community.  For that night's sleep, you got more REM and deep sleep than people like you.  You spent less time awake and spent less time in light sleep.  Overall. it looks like a great night's sleep.

"Less" time in light sleep? That's not the way I read it, but regardless that is not what I am asking. Why are the benchmark shaded areas placed on the line the way they are? Some overlap my data and others are placed next to MY sleep data. Thanks for responding though.

My first post so forgive me if I am not following protocol here.
