Unfortunately this seems to be a common complaint for Sense users. I used to get close to 100 floors per day, although in reality it was nowhere close. Now my altimeter has stopped working completely and it doesn't track floors at all.
Would you say the floor count is being over counted only by a few floors or massively? If it's only a few, this would be considered normal with how the altimeter works (it's a barometer) as it can be influenced with changes in pressure caused by wind (environmental) etc.

Hello @Catherine. and welcome to the Community. The altimeter measures floors by looking for changes in barometric pressure. Sometimes it's simple things like gusty winds or air pressure changes when you open or close a door. Get floors opening the fire doors between sections of the building where I work. Some users are getting really wacky numbers, like 5000 floors at once. Fitbit hasn't offered an explanation for this.
Fitbit sees these flights as something to follow. Were are being rewarded for taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Think of it as a fun number. Fitbit doesn't use this number to change your calorie burn.

Hi @Catherine. - this is now a common fault and generally not a watch fault. You can't fix it.
If you want to test how your pressure sensor is working try the SimpleFloors app which also
attempts to calculate floors more accurately.
@LZeeW - Saying that the miscalculation of floors is due to winds or going through doors or not wearing the watch correctly (as is often given as the remedy) is nonsense as it was working totally fine, winds and doors and all, before the firmware update.
My Versa (original) works totally accurately when worn at the same time as the Sense in the exact same conditions.
@N8teGee - you can use the tool to see what is happening with the pressure sensor, sometimes the pressure sensor hole gets blocked and the watch needs careful cleaning.
Whether there are no floors or a wacky number measured is probably not much help.

I tried your app a couple of weeks ago. The reading starts at zero and then starts counting down into negative numbers continously, so it seems to be an issue with the sensor itself. I'm not particularly worried though, as when it was "working" the number was just as inaccurate as it is now its not working. So not much lost in my case.
