Starting a workout using google assistant

Hello team, 

How do I start a workout or a run using the google assistant voice command. I know it was working earlier but now it doesn't.

You can ask the assistant on the watch to start a workout for any given Fitbit activity. You can also stop it ofc.

Same thing on your phone, tho it won't start it on the watch. It starts on the device you asked the assistant to do so. Or there may be a way to do so, but I'm not aware of any, I tend to do everything from my wrist directly!
