Just like the rest of you my steps are not being recorded accurately for the past three weeks or so after the firmware update. I called fitbit on two seperate occasions and they gave me two different case numbers saying others are having the similar issue. Yesterday I was told to verify by next Wednesday at the latest if it is working properly and at the moment, there is no fix but they are working on it. I was taking pictures of my watch throughout the day to make sure I can prove I wasn't crazy, but came across the fitbit community and sadly see that so many others are dealing with the same issue. They need to do better. I am losing my faith that this will get fixed after a few weeks have already gone by.

HI @FunGuyInLA - it seems that support are referring to a bi weekly Fitbit App update which actually has nothing to do with the bug, as explained in the first post in Unreliable step counting bug.
It is often their go to answer for every problem if they don't know the issue.
