Steps accuracy?

How are the steps recorded?   I feel the fitbit sense I wear is recording way too many steps/distance.  Is there anyway of checking the accuracy?

It automatically calculates stride and GPS (When outdoor). You can adjust it manually if you choose.

Go to the app, your account (profile pic in the top left), activity and wellness, exercise, stride length.
