Steps don't match between Sense and Fitbit app

So my Fitbit Sense and the Fitbit app don't match up. Example on my watch it says I done 12k steps. But the app reads at least 1k more. Is this normal

Try restarting watch and syncing app.

@BigDubssd  - also check you don't have a MobileTrack device installed in the Fitbit App when you click profile photo.
