Swim stroke unknown on Sense

Recently my Sense has stopped tracking my swim stroke and just says UNKNOWN. I'm not sure if it's related to a recent update or perhaps age of the watch. Is anyone else seeing this?

I would rather see unknown than backstroke everywhere (I rarely swim backstroke). Stroke type detection never worked for me on Sense.

I hear you and occasionally see backstroke also which I never do either.
Stroke detection is back now after the last couple of updates though and is
mostly accurate for me (freestyle and a little breaststroke).
