Tips to get the Sense connected to WiFi

Guys, ladies:

I came across a problem with my new Sense not connecting to my WiFi and figured out the problem and solution and wanted to share my findings, as many of you will probably have the same issues if you have the latest WiFi technology.

Bottom line, I am using Gigabit from Xfinity (1,000 Mpbs) with their latest router and the router has both 2.4G and 5G (802.11 n,ac).

The problem is that FitBit, being behind the latest technology trends as a company, cannot handle modern WiFi networks, including 802.11ac

Xfinity is automatically identifying what it feels is the best network and automatically assigns 5G 802.11ac to the Sense and the Sense throws up.

So, I had to manually adjust the 2.4G network to

Channel select "1" (instead of auto) and I was all set.

Most Internet enabled devices, from scales, smart lights and switches, coffee pots, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers, Arduinos and Raspberry Pies, most medical equipment, even the Smart Pot, will only connect to 2.5 ghz. There must be some reason, outside of control for these manufactures.
