I recently moved from an Apple Watch to Android. The Apple Watch did not record my heart rate consistently nor my exercise so, eventually I just ignored the data. It also did not accurately detect afib so, I stopped using that as well.
I usually walk for exercise. I started to get into Sleep Tracking. Had a Fitbit Charge for sleep tracking but the motor died after a year. Now I am trying to decide between the Fitbit Sense and Galaxy Watch 3.
I will probably use an Oura ring for sleep tracking so, the Galaxy Watch 3 or Fitbit Sense would be used during the day. I am looking for a device that will give me text notifications, home alarm notifications, allow me to make calls from my wrist, track steps, resting heart rate and other useful metrics dealing with the heart health. Would also be nice for it to analyze data and alert me if something does not look correct. Any suggestions on which to choose?

Also, you can only take calls from the wrist on the Sense, not make calls because the Sense or Fitbit app doesn't have a contacts app and you can't even use the Google Assistant on the Sense to make a phone call. For what you're wanting, I'll go ahead and tell you to get the Samsung. Notifications are much nicer to interact with the on the Samsung too, or at least they were on my Active Watch 2. Plus speech to text on the Sense hardly ever works so you can't even really respond to a text properly on the Sense. I use a Pixel 4 XL. Again, just my experience with the Sense vs the Active Watch 2. Active Watch 2 was the better watch, and cheaper. Go figure.

At this point, go with the 3. The Sense is still way too buggy and the speaker on it has the lowest volume I've ever heard. I'm hoping that's a bug that can be fixed. I miss my Active Watch 2. The speaker on it was great. You also can't store your own music on the Sense. The Fitbit app store is also pitiful. I'm actually thinking about returning my Sense for the Galaxy Watch 3. Just waiting to see if FitBit can fix any of the many bugs of the Sense before my return period runs out. Plus, you have to pay monthly for Fitbit Premium if you want the good detailed stats. Just scroll through the community here and the community for the Galaxy Watch 3, if there is one before you make a decision. Research, research and more research. It's a lot of money so you wanna make a good decision. Or, you could buy both, try them both out and return the one you like the least. Just my opinion. I speak solely for myself and no one else but I wouldn't recommend the Sense to anyone at this time. Maybe after a few updates my mind will change or maybe it won't. Only time will tell. Good thing both watches do actually tell the time accurately. Lol. Well, the Sense won't change time zones correctly, or realty at all, even with the setting turned on. Instead of changing time zones, the Fitbit app turns the setting back off all by itself. Shrugs

I use the Oura ring to track my sleep and readiness to tackle the upcoming day, works really well if you're ok with the bulk on your finger. I'm used to it now and find it strange not to wear it. Tracks my heart rate through the day too.
As much as I love the Sense and its ability to fit my needs, I'd have to agree with the other responses in this thread regarding a smart watch, the Samsung would be a better fit for your needs.
