Do I just have a bad watch or did Fitbit whiff on this? Fitbit Sense is set to strong vibration but is super weak. Fitbit Versa that I was replacing with this sense had much stronger vibration (low setting on it was still stronger than the strong setting on this). Vibration is too weak to depend on it waking me in the morning, so having to use a physical alarm that wakes my wife also (old Versa was plenty strong). I found another thread that indicated others were having this issue as well. Is there something I am missing (second set of settings maybe or something in alarms).

It seem like this is a problem flagged out by other users too

I am having the same issue. The vibration setting is on high and I can barely feel it. Was this issue ever resolved?

This is a known issue from day 1 and has not been addressed despite these reports in the forum.
You can test your watches 8 vibration patterns on Light and Strong using the SimpleVibrate app.
Normally when you set a sleep schedule in the watch Settings, it also dims and switches the vibration from Strong to Light which doesn't help, not that there is much difference between the two settings.
Also note that the vibration weakens as the battery level falls.

Guy_ I know the first person in this thread used the vibrations for their alarm in a sleep schedule. I am not utilizing the sleep schedule. I like the hourly reminder to move function. As a retired person, it is amazing how fast an hour goes by!
I find Fitbit forum to be extremely helpful. If this is a known issue that is unresolved, why hasn't a Fitbit Moderator gotten involved?

Hi @Blessingtoyou - the moderators do get involved behind the scenes but it is up to development to resolve issues, if they can.
It is not sure if the watch is smart enough to make the vibration go to Light when it detects you are asleep.
If you are interested in move reminders take a look at clock faces in the Gallery with multiple reminders, such as SimpleClockPro, it also displays the Steps so far this hour, so you also have a visual reminder, as well as a Steps This Hour history for the day.

Strong is pretty noticeable to me. For a quick test, I set a 1 second timer with it set to light then repeat with it set to strong. I think the problem is alerts are too short to feel. Alarms, timers, and heart zone charges during workouts I feel pretty fine even on light.

HI @eezeepee - try the SimpleVibrate app and you will see there are 8 different vibrates, the Alert from a timer or Ring are permanent, and you eventually feel them.
Look in the associated app documentation for the table that shows how vibrates work on different devices and the issue is immediately apparent. No results for an Ionic.

@katerbergk- it is for demonstration purposes - A notification is probably a Nudge. One or two Nudges for a Notification is less strong than an Alert. for an alarm. And they are all too weak.

This is very awkward. The complexity of the answers to use multiple Aps, and ALERT levels with additional 3rd Part Aps is a bit unsatisfactory. Having to navigate third Part Ap fixes bit weird. I got the SENSE because the Ionic Adidas was recalled is sad. The Ionic Vibration was perfect...this is almost impossible to feel when running as a Lap Indicators.
in the meantime—I HAVE found that wearing a larger band a FULL two finger spaces ABOVE the wrist TOWARD THE SHOULDER helps when snugged tight. It also removed the Initial ‘hot /warm feeling which was NOT coming from the SENSE but a cloth band skin irritation. Sorry to have inelegantly written it may have been the Fitbit. It was not.
I am awaiting a Software Fix Soon.

It has been 90 days since your last post regarding the vibration strength of the Sense device. Do you know if the developers are trying to increase the vibration level? It seems like it would be such an easy fix and would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi @LizzyFitbit I've contacted support a few time regarding this issue. They suggest adding a post in the feature suggestions. As noted by @Guy_ lengthening or pulsing certain notifications would meet most users needs. It is usually during activity or movement where notifications like interval training in exercises, or hitting a heart rate during a run where it is too short and light to notice. A longer duration or pulsing would provide much benefit and should be a software fix.

I have the same problem. My Ionic was great. You felt the vibration but the sense vibration is very weak. When I make 10,000 steps I can't even feel the vibration and when a text comes in there is hardly and feel of the vibration. I am very disappointed with the Sense. I wish I had my Ionic back..

Me too. I have owned 7 Fitbit’s. I love them all. This is not complicated: the ionic vibrated on the wrist. The Sense can not hardly be felt. During a run too often, notations of lap stats are interrupted by 15 second’ CONGRATULATIONS TO HAVE REACHED TOUR WEEKLY STEPs here is a new BADGE. YAY!
… and 10 seconds later I find I am 7 seconds BEYOND MY REQUESTED notification of lap status!

I don't have any issues with the vibration intensity. However, I keep my charger plugged in the bathroom outlet and every other day give it a quick charge while I'm showering which keeps the battery level high and the vibration intensity on the higher side.
