Watch won't stay connected

My Sense 2 watch won't stay connected to my Samsung 22 Ultra. It will connect but then disconnect at some point and stay disconnected until I reconnect. This happens almost daily. My old phone was destroyed so there is no unpairing the app from my old phone. Please help!

Hi @Wifeofwarranty  - the s22 may have battery optimization enabled or some new feature and needs Fitbit App 3.66.

For good syncing the Bluetooth and Fitbit App need to be running constantly. You can try leaving the app with the home key rather than the back key to see if it makes a difference.

You can verify it is indeed a connection issue, use the SimpleCheckUp app, second test to see if the watch can connect, first test shows when it last synced.

Check that no battery-saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure Bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Hi, @Wifeofwarranty, welcome to the community. I assume you have a "Sense" (Not a "Sense 2"). You will of course have set up your "Sense" with your new phone on the demise of your old phone, there is no requirement to delete your old phone from the Fitbit account, just log in.

I'm curious to know how you determine your "Sense" has disconnected from your new phone, can you manually sync the Fitbit app? (in the Today screen slide your finger down & release, see the green progress bar at the top) In your phone settings>connected devices> you should see "Sense".

Let us know.

Cheers

Hi. Thank you for your response. Yes. There is a little icon on my watch
that says I am disconnected. I can reconnect and sync manually.

@Wifeofwarranty  - on the bottom of your phone there are 3 buttons, the middle one takes you to the home screen without closing the app, the right one, normally, closes the app.

To leave from the Fitbit App  only use the middle one and see if your watch stays connected.
