My problem with my band is different that other reported issues.
Last night preparing for bed, I noticed that my flesh under my FitBit felt sore. It was red and tender so I decided for the first time in my life to put a watch on my right wrist. The procedure was understandably awkward with no experience. I managed getting the top over my wrist but while trying to thread it through the other half, it came away from the watch! I was very surprised because I was exerting hardly any effort. I was even more surprised to see that the band has no expanding attachment pin. The band is secured only by its wedge-shape molded construction. I attempted refitting the band, and it seemed well secured when I tried pulling it back out. But this morning when I awoke and looked to see the time, the watchband was apart and off my wrist. I know of a cure: a couple of drops of Gorilla Glue using a Q-tip. But I thought I might come to the forum for advice first.

Hi, @montel2 , welcome to the community, allowing you are using a Fitbit band (not a third party band) you should not be experiencing this. This video demonstrates how to fit and release the bands. You might be well advised to wash your "Sense" to remove any possibility that there is grit or other material fouling the socket. Do not use glue.
With respect to the tenderness on your wrist, you might find this article Fitbit Wear & Care offers useful advice. You do not say if the tenderness was under the device or the band, I do know of people who have successfully changed to woven bands.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. The tenderness is under the watch, not the band. And since my posting of my problem this morning I've carefully used Q-tips to clean both the band end and the corresponding area of the watch (even though there didn't appear anything dirty) and again tried refitting the band. And with strong pulling or twisting the band it does not come out. I did NOT use glue. My concern now is if the parts separate again while I'm wearing it, I might lose the watch. I didn't pay any attention when putting it back together this last time if there are pin opening in the watch to fit the conventional type band. If so, I'll just get another type band - one also with a buckle

Hi, @montel2, Thanks for the update, I must admit I have not had any problems with the Fitbit sports band I got with the watch. When I have it off my wrist to clean the band occasionally slips out of the socket but when in place on my wrist it has never failed (I wear it all the time except when charging)
Cheers

ya I used the sports band from Fitbit and loved it. Never had a clasp fail. I’m using a one piece case/band now. It protects the glass corners. I can’t use the EDA ECG with it on but rarely ever use those features. Charges with out removal from case.
