On the Music Control screen what does this button do? You can tap it, but nothing happens neither on the watch nor on the phone. What is it for?

@sviperz - That icon is for the Find My Phone feature. When I tap it on my Sense, it pings my phone and I hear a ding. To make sure that feature is activated, please open the Fitbit app on your phone. Tap Account > Sense > Apps > My Apps. Look for Find My Phone. If it does not show up there, search fo it in All Apps. If this still does not work, make sure the volume is turned up on your phone and that it’s not in Do Not Disturb or Sleep mode.
Please let us know if this helps. If it does not, let us know which phone you have.
Edit: Perhaps the better question is this - Is your music playing correctly or is it constantly turning on/off? If not, it may not be connecting to your phone and offering help to find it. Which music service are you using?

@sviperz I am seeing your photo a little different from @SunsetRunner. I don't have my phone paired for music, so my Versa 3 says No phone connected and my icon looks like this ((x)). The Sense user manual shows headphones as a choice (p62). When I tap on my ((x)), a feel a slight vibration and nothing happens. It gives me the impression that I can change from my phone to headphones or a Bluetooth speaker from this screen in the Music Controls. But this Help article says you control the source in the Sense/Versa3 settings.
The Find My Phone I think @SunsetRunner is referring to is a green app icon.
Disclaimer: I am reading the manual and the Help articles to add to this answer. I'm too cheap to pay for a subscription.

Good point, @LZeeW . I have paid subscriptions to both Spotify and Pandora. @sviperz - if you let us know which of those music services you are using, I’d be happy to set it up on my Sense to test Laurie’s theory. It sounds logical.
Edit: I just proved her theory. In the Sense manual, starting on page 61, it shows the music screen similar to yours. But, instead of a picture of a phone, it shows headphones.

@SunsetRunner @LZeeW thanks for your thoughts.
@SunsetRunner the "ding" theory sounds logical judging on how the icon looks like, except seems like it doesn't work like that in my case. I used to be on vibration all the time on my phone, but have tried to turn on sound and check if the phone produce any sound when I click that icon. But nothing, it just vibrates on Sense and nothing happens on the phone. No DND or other similar modes enabled on the phone.
I have Find My Phone app pre-installed on Sense though, and it works as expected - even if the phone on vibration it generates pretty loud sound on the phone.
Regarding the headphones icon from user's manual - yes, I've seen it there and on Sense, but this interface is only for playing content from Sense directly, that's why you need to connect headphones to the watch, hence the headphones icon.
My phone is Pixel 5 with Android 11 and I'm using YT Music as my music service. But I think this icon functionality should not depend on the music service in use. Seems like a bug for me. And what's more interesting - user's manual doesn't cover this icon in any way, so we can only guess what is it for 🙂

@sviperz I agree with you about directions and information. I searched the manuals and the Help articles. I even searched a little on the internet. I don't even use this feature, but, what the heck, it's another slow day in the pandemic. What else should I do?
It would be nice to find an answer for this.

@LZeeW I can't find anything on this icon, but I occaisionly see it change to the Shuffle music icon.
PS: when tapping all I get is a vibration.

Hi everyone. It's always great to see you participating in the Community Forums. @SunsetRunner, @LZeeW and @Rich_Laue, thanks for your amazing help!
@sviperz, thanks for the picture provided, I'm glad you're taking advantage of your Sense features. As our friends mentioned above, the icon in the top-left corner shows whether the music source is currently set to your phone or your watch. Now, the icon in the top-right corner will let you know where the audio is currently being played on (i.e. headphones, speaker, phone, etc.). If by any chance your watch isn't syncing due to having the Bluetooth off or the Fitbit app closed, you'll see an icon that looks like this ((x)).
Hope this helps.

@LizzyFitbit thanks for the answer. If the icon in the top-right corner is supposed to show the audio source, then it doesn't work as intended for me. I always use my bluetooth headphones for music, but the icon always shows the smartphone icon (as on the screenshot in original post), I haven't seen any other icon there. Anyway, it's good to know what it should show. Hope it will be fixed.

Hi @sviperz the top right is not the audio source, but where the audio is playing.
Are your headphones connected to your Sense and you are able to listen to the music even when you are miles from your phone?
This is what playing through the headphones mean.

@Rich_Laue yep, that's what I meant by "audio source". But I'm afraid it doesn't work as you described.
To be able to listen to music directly from Sense, you need to switch the mode via top-left icon to "Sense". Only in this mode you can see the headphones icon in the top-right corner, this icon if for selecting headphones you have connected to your watch directly.
While when you in "Mobile" mode, the source of the music is your phone (or the headphones connected to your phone). And in this particular mode the top-right icon do nothing and always shows only smartphone icon with waves at its sides (as in original post) no matter where you're listening the music - from your phone or from your headphones connected to your phone.
So the question is still the same - what this icon is for in the "Mobile" mode specifically??

That is correct @sviperz when the source of the audio is the phone, the phone is in control of where the audio plays. The tracker doesn't know if their are headphones connected to the phone. The tracker is a simple remote control for the music player in your phone.

@Rich_Laue exactly! That's why I still curious what the icon in the top-right corner do in "Mobile" mode 🙂

For me it ocaisionly allows me to randomize the list of songs in the music player on the phone.
