What is happening? How do I fix it?

Yesterday my Fitbit sense said I needed a new clock face so I got a new one. Then it wouldn't let me pick a workout or use any apps on it. It just showed a question mark and went back to the clock face. Now it just shows the Fitbit icon. I tried resetting it and all it does is go back to the icon. I disconnected it from my phone and tried reconnecting it and it won't connect back to my phone. It's only about a year old and I have used fitbit for years and never had this big of an issue with one. Usually resetting it works but not this time.

Did you try a factory reset? YOu will lose and unsync'd data but it may resolve your problem.

How can I do That? My fitbit sense is not starting so I Cannot reset via the Watch menu

Hi, @Bsalisbury, I wonder if you inadvertently did a factory reset. If the "Sense" is not appearing in your phone app you will need to set it up again this video is about 18 months old but the principle remains unchanged. How to Set Up Fitbit Sense (Step-by-Step) - YouTube.

I can't because it won't leave the icon screen to go into setting to erase to factory reset.

I tried to delete it off the app and reconnect it but not matter how many times I try to set up the Fitbit it doesn't show up. I push the retry button over and over and nothing. I waited for the Fitbit to die and recharged it and the same thing happens and is still stuck on the icon screen.

Hi, @Bsalisbury, I think your best way forward is to talk to "Customer Support" here I recommend you use the chat facility or the phone for prompt attention. This may be a long call so I suggest you make notes of what you have done and the result before making contact. Good fortune.

I am having the exact same issue.  Just started last night.  This will be the last fitbit I purchase.  None of my prior (3) watches have lasted more than a year and all have died do to a watch 'malfunction.'

It's not you or your device. I have a Versa Lite, and it seems to be effecting those who updated their devices due to a recent firmware update.
