My Sense 1 is finally nearing its end. The burn-in is setting in and even though it still works, it will be soon five years old and I am looking to replace it with a similar model. I have always had a good experience with Fitbits, unlike a lot of people here 🙂 Actually, this is only my second Fitbit, after Versa 1 which I have worn for years and years.
In normal circumstances, I would just replace it with a new Fitbit, but seeing how Google is slowly sunsetting the brand, I don't know what to do. I really like the Sense format - it's small (which is great for my ultra small wrist), square (personal preference) and it goes on for days.
Do you guys think it would be a huge mistake to just buy Sense 2?
Garmins are the best alternative I guess, but they are all huge and ugly and too professional (if that makes sense).

@rick31 Google said that there wouldn't be a Sense 3, but I don't think they are completely giving up on the Sense 2. When Fitbit discontinues a model, it is in the store until the remaining stock is sold out. The Luxe is an example. The Google Store has all color combinations for both the Sense 2 and Versa 4.
The Sense 2 is stripped down compared to the Sense. There are no third party apps and clock faces are limited. You will be disappointed if you have favorite third party apps on your Sense.
My husband's Sense isn't getting burn in, but his battery is starting to act old, needing more frequent recharging. He hasn't made a decision. He isn't interested in a Charge 6, a tracker with the same additional ECG/EDA hardware.
I thought it would be a huge mistake until I saw the Google Store availability. But I wish Google would be more transparent about its vision of the Sense 2/Versa 4.

HI @rick31 - you can probably still get another Sense or Versa 3 in the shops. The Sense 2 doesn't have all the features of a Sense.
Bear in mind if you live in the EEA you are restricted to Fitbit only Gallery stuff on ANY new device.
Careful checking is probably a good idea before continuing, to make sure you get what you need.
