I ordered my through Amazon.ca on the date it was announced. I will be receiving it on October 1 or 2.

I just contacted Fitbit support.. Since mine still says "Order received" they informed me that at this moment all Pre-orders for the sense has a tentative shipping date of October... Not sure what is going on :(.

I placed my pre-order on September 7th and the confirmation email that I received after my order has been placed also states September 25th. I'm so confused at this moment..

I received a shipping confirmation with a tracking number this morning with an expected delivery of the 24th. I preordered in late August.

@bdrit Are you located in US or EU? I'm in the EU.. Might be that they prioritize US customer order fulfillment over EU...

In US on Fitbit.com the Sense shows in-stock and you can add to cart with delivery in 5-7 days, this is different then a week ago when it said "Pre-Order" with anticipated ship date of 9/25. So in the US are the devices shipping already?

It seems like in US they are already shipping.. My order consist of 2x Fitbit Sense and 2x woven wristbands, according to the customer rep, my 2 wristbands will ship on 9/25/20 and my 2 Senses will ship somewhere in October.. When they can't tell me... Not sure why they are shipping the wristbands first instead of bundling the entire order since I've absolutely no use for the woven wristbands without having the Sense....

I ordered the Sense and Inspire 2. When I check my status it states "process of being shipped". My daughter in law ordered her Sense a day or 2 after I did and received an email today stating hers has been shipped. We are both located in North Carolina. We both ordered through Fitbit using the insurance discount.

I ordered a Versa 3 plus a Pendleton band today (25/9/20 was stated as shipping date for both), but they only charged my bank card for the Versa and the expedited delivery fee, and not for the band. I don't understand. I contacted customer support but didn't get any useful answer.
I'm in the EU and I placed my order on the EU webshop.

Another EU based pre-order here, placed on the 8th of September. Email confirmation and order details page linked to in the email both still state it will be shipped by 25 September. Just talked to support on live chat, was told it'll ship in October, but they couldn't say when in October. Delay due to high demand, and said devices are released early in the US and then they start shipping to the rest of the world.
This is my first order from Fitbit, and it's a pretty terrible first impression. Why promise a customer something you are not going to deliver? And why not be up front about different delivery priorities across different territories? Set accurate expectations and you won't have frustrated customers. As it stands, pre-ordering seems like it was a waste of time entirely.

I placed mine on Amazon and it says expected delivery September 28th. I then ordered one for my brother from Best Buy and all it says is: Shipping by September 25th. It will be interesting to see which one arrives first.

The strange thing is why would they charge my bank account for the watch plus the shipping fee, but not for the replacement band? Especially if they will ship these 2 items together with the chosen shipping method. I just don't get it.
The status of my order is "in the process of being shipped", but they still haven't charged my card for the Pendleton band. I'm not a stupid person, but I juuust don't get it. 😀

@tonyfitz I've the exact same thing, exactly the same situation and fulfillment dates, I placed my order for 2 Sense and 2 Woven bands for my wife and me. This is also my very first Fitbit order and Fitbit user... This is horrible first impression and I'm frustrated to no end.

@AddyRazz No, they haven't charged me yet and order still is on "Received" status, not "Processed"... From what they told me is that they will only charge you once they are ready to be shipped.
