Which data does Sense use to estimate sleep stages?

Does Fitbit take into account additional data collected by Sense - heart rate variability, skin temperature and EDA - to arrive at a more accurate estimation of sleep stages compared to Versa 3 and/or older generations?

Hi @FidRewe. It's good to see you in the forums.

Thanks for your question. Let me explain that the sleep stages will be register based on your sleep times, a combination of your movement and heart-rate patterns. This applies to all our Fitbit devices with heart-rate tracking (except Charge HR and Surge) such as the Sense and Versa 3. In addition to this, sleep stages will help to determine other details such as your sleep score and stress management score. To learn more about how the sleep stages are registered and the factors impact this data, please see this help article.
