So you are saying that fitbit needs to get a list of every bank in the world, then somehow demand that every bank add fitbit pay?

Several other virtual pay systems, ask their customers to contact their banks.

I'm simply saying that we Harb the ability to ask both sides.

However I don't think any in the contort of fitbit users know what fitbit, or their banks think.

No I didn't say that. However as a business I cannot expect my customers/users to do my job for me. If I were to invent a new electronic payment system then it means I am in the Fintech industry which means I know the rules of the game, which is: I have to prove my system is trustworthy and I need to look into what partnerships I want. If I start my business in the USA my 1st step is to go to do the market research and find who are the biggest banks, approach them and present to them why I believe it would be beneficial for them to use my service.

A forum like this or a feature request place is not an unusual thing because off course you will miss things, your users evolve in the way they use your services and may need new features, etc. But this specific thread has been going on for years without acknowledgment from the company or developers.

The company I work for as software engineer also has many feature, requests and if we left them completely ignored for ages like this without even a "we're looking into it and trying to speak to the necessary stakeholders" acknowledgment, then we'd be out of business very quickly.

Have you searched and voted for, or created a suggestion to add your bank? We are currently on the board for users to help each other out. I've given the best advice I can, ask your bank or ask fitbit.

As your fellow fitbit users, their is not much else we can advise one to do.

Many banks and some transmits throughout the world have added fitbit pay.

Some banks have told their customers that they have no attention to add fitbit pay.

My recommendation is vote with your wallet.  For example, there is a major bank here in Canada that absolutely refused to support Google Pay (Android Pay at the time of launch), despite tons of Twitter and Facebook comments asking them to - and that's over a period of 4 years.  (I won't name the specific bank here, but I'm sure you can look up which one.)

Earlier this year it's my renewal, I told them I want to cancel the car and the CS agent asked me why I want to cancel.  I told her point blank that your company refused to support Google Pay and therefore I decided to switch to another bank that supports it.

Think of it this way:  if that many complaints regarding Google Pay and still wouldn't change the mind of that one bank, how would you be any more successful when it comes to Fitbit?  My recommendation is simply vote with your wallet.

Bringing Google Pay and also supporting the android/play store would really elevate the experience of these devices.

My bank is supported and I was really hoping to use Google pay through my smart watch

Time to update my first question.

Why does not Fitbit support Google Wallet?

I doubt any fitbit user will be able to answer this question. However if rumors are true, Google will be putting out a watch with the fitbit software on it. This watch probably, being made by Google, will have Google Pay.

So why doesn't fitbit currently not support G-Pay, don't know, but Google hasn't owned Fitbit very Kong

It has been a little while, and those rumors do seem to indeed be true. It is not yet know whether the current sense will support Google Pay, but if not, I would guess it is either a licensing agreement, a hardware limitation, or both.

This article   makes it seem like it may be possible  https://9to5google.com/2022/08/19/google-wallet-fitbit-pay/

to put Google wallet into Fitbit pay. I think they could do it if they wanted to, but they probably want people to buy the new sense 2.... What about people who just spent good $ on a Sense this year??
