Why is Airplane mode not added on Fitbit devices?

It’ll save battery life at night. Why do we need these products continuously syncing their data 24/7??

Please add the feature. I don’t see the downside.

As for saving battery, try the sleep mode. If you are using the ECG app this would be a big drain.

Decided by the galaxy 4 because of the no airplane mode...

@fredpt   I looked at your profile and saw that you posted a similar question in other forums.  The Galaxy 4 has airplane mode because the LTE model can connect to the internet.  It needs airplane mode for the same reason your phone has airplane mode.  Fitbits don't need airplane mode.

If you search the Feature Suggestion Board you will notice several suggestions for am airplane mode, however these suggestions have barely any votes.. So should fitbit add a feature that most people are not asking for?

 The non-LTE, Bluetooth only models also have airplane mode, so the Bluethooth/wifi only version will allow you to just turn all off RF emitting systems, or individually...

I did read a lot about watch4 and am convinced it's the best option for my samsung phone by far.

Hope FitBit gives the freedom to the users to decide when to sync. Besides unnecessary RF exposure.

@LZeeW Airplane Mode isn't anymore what it used to be, although the name stuck to it. It's less about airplanes and more about shutting down all wireless communication. I couldn't bring my Fitbit into the main offices of my company because of that. I had to leave it in the deposit box and pick it up on exit (it was at time I was using Ionic). Conditionally, I could bring my Suunto watch but with giving MAC addresses of BT and Wifi so that could be picked up if I decided to turn off flight mode (there are ways to find out) and keeping the watch constantly in the flight mode. My mobile phone was less restricted if I agreed to install surveilance software. There are places you can't get in with devices using wireless communication.

@t.parker   I misinterpreted a Samsung Support page that demonstrated the airplane mode.  My husband and son in law are a former Navy pilots, so it is in my nature to use "airplane mode" in its strictest sense.  I also get regular updates on allowable wearables within the Department of Defense and am very familiar with the places mentioned in your last sentence.
