Will Sense count my steps while walking in the pool?

I have a sense and do regular 30 min walking in the pool.  Does the Sense count the steps?

Hi, @gonif welcome to the community, not a question I've seen before. Steps are detected by arm movement How accurate are Fitbit devices? describes how "Steps are detected and what sometimes prevents it. As you already have a "Sense" I suggest you try it. I swim daily with my "Sense" without any problems.
