Hey Folks,
My Charge HR 2 is on its last legs, display showing only partially. I tested the Charge HR 4 for almost a month but returned it due too low brightness.
Would you recommend the Sense in its current state? Is it beta?
@JerryIonic it would be something new and significant change of direction when it comes to Fitbit strategy 🙂 But who knows...
Yes, who knows. Just have to wait and see.

Here was my lengthy review of the Sense:

In short I would probably recomend the Versa 3 over the Sense but I like my sense.
Best AnswerDrat, I generally go to bed before 8 as I'm up before 5 am
Best AnswerMay I ask why?
Far too many bugs and issues (just read this forum and you'll see why). Fitbit has never delivered on Google Assistant, etc.
@JerryIonic Fitbit is NOT owned by Google yet, the acquisition still has to be cleared in order for this to happen. Also the choice of phone OS makes no difference in how the EDA feature works, are you following the instructions and completely covering the watch face with your hand? The only difference between Android and iOS is that you will NOT be able to answer calls on iOS as Apple does not allow that to happen to anything other than an Apple Watch.
@WehuttyWanker Google assistant is in the latest firmware released yesterday but at the moment only in the US, other countries will start to get Google Assistant from next month. So it's a bit harsh to say they've never delivered when Fitbit has stuck to the advertised time frame and delivered the features you want before the end of 2020 as stated.
Best AnswerExcellent, so I would assume it will be available shortly. Thanks for that!!
Also, thanks for letting me know about Google. I was made aware, obviously by false claims, that Google already owns FitBit. It will be interested to see what, if any, changes will be made.
No I would not recommend. I just got mine brand new out the box and it does not work. Costumer support was useless. For the money fitbit is charging they should ensure the product works! After having my problems I discovered many others had the same issue. Its bad business and poor customer satisfaction. Shame on you fitbit!
Recommending or not is a very biased thing. It really depends on what one looks for and expects the device to do. For example, I don't own Sense and I would not recommend it. Not because it's bad but because it doesn't do what I want (hence I didn't buy it). Somebody, for whom Sense ticks all the boxes will surely recommend it but then there will be people who didn't get what they expected. Be careful with asking for a recommendation without stating what you are after because you may get a bunch of positive "yeses", spend money and find out the device doesn't have something essential for you. For example, I need to be able to connect to external sensors (like Stryd, bike sensors, chest strap), or I need to see cadence during my run. Would anyone recommend me Sense or any other Fitbit device knowing what my requirements? I don't think so as no Fitbit supports these, for me essential, features.
Best AnswerI have gone to bed at 7pm before and still gotten a a stress management score. I typically go to bed at 8pm because I get up at 4am, and I always get a stress management score. But I do have an android. 🤷🏼:female_sign:
Best AnswerDefinitely not. Total crap. I thought it had a potential with all the sensors, but seems i need to wait for future firmware updates to get half of the features working the way the should, including SPO2, ECG. You can't even answer a phone call on Sense even though it has a mic and a speaker and should be able to do so. They say this feature (responding to a phone call through the watch) would come with future firmware updates, but I don't think it will. It seems the CPU of this unit is very slaggish (that's why I guess they don't tell what CPU they're using in it). And i haven't been able to get anything out of the watch speaker, no I'm not sure even if it has a working speaker that can play anything!
Best AnswerDefinitely not. It has great potential, but the actual performances are below expectations and the interface is quite badly designed (as an example, you cannot see the time when you are in an exercise mode, so you need another watch). It has on oxygen and a temperature sensor, but they just collect data during the night, and it's tricky to display them, and even more to understand the meaning of all this information. The software has many bugs that I hope will be solved with new versions. The general feeling is that Fitbit launched an unfinished product just to beat on time other competitors. It's a common marketing practice when you deal with something whose performances can be then easily upgraded through software, but here I think FitBit marketing/customer relationship managers are doing a terrible job in keeping customers informed about coming updates.
