I've been a faithful fitbit user for years now and with the exception of my first fitbit (Versa) that got broken when I crashed my bicycle, I've owned an Ionic that suddenly refused to turn on or charge anymore, then a replacement Ionic which had the screen fall off and then was then recalled. Now the Sense which again... the screen fell off of. I don't think I'm going to be buying any more fitbits. It really doesn't appear that the quality is there for the amount of money I've spent on all of these smartwatches.
This morning was exceptionally frustrating because I woke up (using my fitbit as my alarm) and everything was fine. Then shortly afterwards after sitting down to watch the morning news, I felt something odd on my wrist and looked down to find the screen dangling from the watch body. I don't understand how this can happen when I was doing nothing out of the ordinary. One of the ribbon wires pulled out so it's useless at this point.
It took me only a brief moment of googling to find dozens of complaints with the same issue here in the forums.
Naturally, I was out of warranty, so the only "solution" was a discount on a new watch which will likely break in short order as well.
Needless to say, I will definitely NOT be recommending fitbits of ANY variety to anyone anytime soon. It's a shame because I'd always been such a big fan and willing to overlook the other issues.
