Wow @ywamlee that indeed looks very scratched and beat up for sure. You say you haven’t dropped the tracker but it appears as if it’s being slid against hard objects or coming in contact with something like gym weights banging against it. Clearly your wrist is not capable of creating these scratches. If this is just from wearing it directly on your wrist only it would be quite strange to me. My only advice would be to contact Fitbit Customer Service to see if they have any explanation or options for you. You can find ways to contact them here: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US Live Chat might be the best option
😃i hope you get things sorted out

Here’s mine from 11/03/20 and it has held up much better. I’ve worn it everyday since then and only remove it to charge. Do you wear other wrist items that could be banging into or getting under the edges of your Fitbit?

"I am wondering how the metal part could be eroded like this."
Clearly from the photo your Sense has had a hard life. There are scratch marks on the under right side, indicating you likely wear the device on your left wrist (as for most) and something hard is scratching against it.
Skin don't do that. 😏
The scratches on the stainless steel backing plate are also indicative of a hard life. Whilst micro scratches will appear on this fairly soft ss backing plate over time - they don't to that extent with care.

I think some people's sweat can be more corrosive than others (perhaps a higher sodium content). I think this can be avoided with regular cleaning and care. Is that hair stuck to the casing, or are they actually hairline cracks?

Zoom in on the the image. Definately no hair. Scratches and crazing is all I see. Interesting comment regarding soaps causing the issue. If soap does that to a Sense, what the hell does it do to your skin?

Is that band a hook and loop style? If so what is the material and does it loop under the watch? It really looks like there is some abrasive wear on the casing from another material repeatedly striking it.
