How long is the maximum you have slept?

Hello Fitbitters! I was wondering how long was the maximum Fitbit users have slept. In my case is 12 hours. That day I was so tired that I didn't know about myself until I realized I had spent half day in bed. I found koalas and sloths are the most somnolent animals, they sleep for about 16 to 18 hours a day. That is what I call a good life. Smiley Very Happy

In the opposite, dolphins and sharks rarely sleep. They seem to just slow down their energies for short periods during the day.

13hrs but I had a really bad migrain. When I don't I usually get around 8hrs Sun-Thu. Fri-Sat I get about 5hrs as I stay up till like 4 in the morning and get up around 9 or 10.

Not the best sleeping schedule but it works.

@matt9013, that's definitely a busy schedule you have. I also suffer from migraines very often and it makes me not want to get up; I've found with the years that sleeping a little more has reduced the migraines, but most of all, exercise is what really has helped me to feel better and I don't wake up with a headache anymore. Smiley Happy

Hello, @matt9013! It is nice to have you here. I had never experienced migraines before in my life, however since last year this became a common problem for me. What I figure out was that I was spending too much time looking at my cellphone, computer, Ipad.. etc. Too much electronics can damage your eyes so now I always wear my glare glasses. This helps a lot and it is good to have a balance life style like our friend , @DavideFitbit, suggested. Also to spend some quality time outdoors like go hiking or some nice place where you can get your mind out of the everyday routine.

My longest was 8.8 hours. That was the day after 20 hours in the car, about 2/3 of it me driving so I was super tired.  My typical is 6.5 to 7.5, I'm sure I could sleep more, but rarely have that option as I have a busy lifestyle. Anything over 7.5 is a real treat.

Wow, during 20 hours in the car, that must be super exhausted. I've been sleeping just a few hours lately and it seems that I will need a break soon.

A new record for me, 10.5 hours! I was buring the candle at both ends all week, averaging 6 hours of sleep (yikes!). Got to sleep in Sunday after walking 11 miles on Saturday. Felt great!

Hey, @Mrthekla!Man Tongue ooohhh! that's awesome to hear! Congrats!

Yes, sometimes my sleeping problems are because I don't exercise enough so my mind is tired but my body is not that much. So exercise is the key! Keep it up!

@DavideFitbit, What a great adventure, I really want to go Costa Rica some day! Heart

TWENTY ONE HOURS! I had a week at summer camp, and we got about 4 hours of sleep a night, along with a lot of physical activity during the day, and Friday night we pulled an all-nighter. I got home at noon on Saturday, and fell asleep until eleven on Sunday. Basically the best 23 hours of my life.

It seems that we have a winner here Smiley Wink @Alliewink I guess when you woke up you were ready for another summer camp.

Yep, I think you hold the record @Alliewink, that must have been great, there's nothing like going to sleep for a long long time when you are very exhausted, you almost feel like a new person when you wake up. Smiley Happy

I think my max has gone up to about 14 hours now as I recently had the flu. Every night I woke up at midnight for a loo trip but otherwise was sleeping through - I don't know if that counts but I did this for three or four days straight due to the illness and still am feeling like I need extra sleep after the flu has gone. It was a really tough illness!
Best Answer

Yeah I think it does count if you went back to bed, I wake up during then night all the time too, it's the best feeling in the world knowing that you still have a few hours left haha. I hope you're recovering and feeling better now @ashleeeaves. Also, welcome to the forums! Smiley Happy
