How long is the maximum you have slept?

Hello Fitbitters! I was wondering how long was the maximum Fitbit users have slept. In my case is 12 hours. That day I was so tired that I didn't know about myself until I realized I had spent half day in bed. I found koalas and sloths are the most somnolent animals, they sleep for about 16 to 18 hours a day. That is what I call a good life. Smiley Very Happy

In the opposite, dolphins and sharks rarely sleep. They seem to just slow down their energies for short periods during the day.

I think the true sense is if after the longest sleep wake up refreshed!
I once entered the great family Fitbit sleep less! On average 6 hours per night! But I wake up refreshed and come out to walk briskly on average 35k step! Daily! This is real change! And sleep is deeper!
Walk briskly and sleep more deeply!

I have definitely slept longer, but restful sleep as tracked by Fitbit Alta, I think the longest was 10 hours 4 minutes. Something like that

Hello everyone! Robot Very Happy I hope you are all doing great and enjoying some healthy activities!

Yes, I do believe that it depends a lot on the environment. @marfar. I notice this because when I am on the city I feel more tired even if I sleep 8 hrs. For instance, my skin looks drier, and my eye bags are darker and more pronounced. And it is more difficult to meditate, concentrate and read. Long story short, the stress impacts my body and mind.

When I go out of the city like to a river or a lake nearby, it is totally the opposite I start to shine haha. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, I will try to find that book online to read it. Of course we do need to be on both, and have a balance like everything in life, however after I finish school, I would like to spend the majority of my time out of the city.

@CarlosMo@ba123456. Sleep is defenitly key to a healthy life. So let's try to sleep as much as we can, of course there are some situations that can interfere with sleeping more than 5 or 6 hours, but remember that nothing is permanent and this is the beauty of impermance. So this is just a phase of our life and will come to an end eventually, and the effort of this will be cherrish in the future. Heart

I hope you all have a nice weekend my friends! Robot wink

Does anesthesia count? If yes, I've dozed off for (at least) 20 hours in my last surgery. Smiley LOL

As a regular, jumped into bed kind of affair? 15 hours. In my defense, My blood sugar went super low and after climbing up 5 sets of stairs to my house; I just kicked my shoes off, threw my backpack on the floor and climbed into bed.

The longest for me is 9 hours and 45 minutes. That's probably the most sleep I've ever gotten. There are a few times where my sleep is broken up because I might take a nap, especially if I'm going to be up late. This past Saturday is one example. I got 6 hours 29 minutes overnight and then took a 2 hour and 56 minute nap in the afternoon. I had just donated blood, and that tends to take a lot out of me.

@DanielleinDC That's awesome. I love naps, 6+2 hours of sleep, you slept the 8 hours you need.

Hey, @CarlosMo@DanielleinDC! I love naps too! The problem is that I always say I will just sleep 20-45 minutes, and set my alarm however end up sleeping for a few hours .. Robot Frustrated

I should have better control of this, I know and I've read that quick naps are more efficient.

@SolangeE @CarlosMo Well, I only napped because, as I said, I was short a pint of blood.

So you don't usually nap? @DanielleinDC

@CarlosMo No, I admittedly do not get enough sleep. But if my hockey team is playing a late night game (because they're away on the West Coast), I'm not feeling well, or I had a taxing day, I will nap a bit.

@DanielleinDC Lol! Yeah it usually happens. I usually nap in my days off. I love to sleep. Smiley Happy

Hello, @DanielleinDC@CarlosMo! To me my sleep hours are almost sacred. There are some times that you can't sleep more because of other responsibilities like work or homework, however I have to admit that sometimes I just go to sleep even if I have things to do. 😕 I usually regret later but I als get a little angry if I don't sleep so... Robot Very HappyRobot tongue

I can't remember the last time I slept more than 6 hrs, having a small child definitely impacts sleep. I think the longest I've ever done was 9 or 10.

Hello, @yurikMan Tongue It is nice to see you. I can image that your life changes in many ways, once you have children. Specially when they are so small and vulnerable. But when they no longer need you, you don't want to see them grow up.Heart
