Done with Fitbit. This last update to the sleep data was the last straw. Not paying for a premium subscription to see an eyesore of a sleep graph.  I understand Google wants it to be known that they’ve taken over Fitbit by showing their lackluster boring UI wherever they go. Which is fine, but I’m not paying for it. Already found another company to give my dollars to that has a way better UI. What Fitbit had was excellent and I’m sorry they were bought out. I know Google will not change it back because they have an image to project out into the world. However, they can enjoy my goodbye and know that the company I’ve decided to go with is not them. I’ve never liked GoogleFit. ✌️

I really hate the new look - it’s hard to see at a glance what the stats are - it’s just a jumble of lines.
please can we have the option to revert to the colour coded block which is much easier to assimilate.

I realised that I don't enjoy using new updated app. I'm not looking forward to it, even after night bad sleep. I actually don't want to use it. If app stays that way when my premium expires I'm not renewing it.

I'm puzzled by how bad this update is. It feels like Google hired bunch of interns in hope they ruin experience and drive people out, towards some new product.

Sleep tracker in the app visual is one of the most awful things I've ever seen. Virtually impossible to read at a glance unlike the old version. If it sint broke; don't fix it!!!😡😡😡😡

Terrible app update. The change in graphics to the sleep tracker is awful. Who on Earth sanctioned that design? Also I can’t scroll down and compare with other nights. I suffer sleep problems and this was my main reason for getting this watch so this is pretty upsetting. Wish there was a choice to go back or choose a different interface. Considering selling watch and going elsewhere for a new one.

It’s absolutely horrendous! So unclear and hard to make sense of! For gods sake listen to your customers and change it back!

Wholeheartedly agree, same old thing; change at any cost regardless of
functionality or current user opinion!!

I hate it. It is so hard to see the different sleep stages with the colours used and it seems cluttered. The old format had better colours and was easier to see the different sleep stages. Also the feature to see your times for the stages using the finger scroll is hard to pinpoint. Why change it, the old format was perfect.

Really dislike the new update to the sleep tracker, it's so hard to read, we don't get the same percentage data etc. please go back to a bar chart or something similar, really trying to get used to the new one but it's so hard to read

Best Answer

I'm sorry but I think the new sleep presentation graph is terrible. Where di Benchmarks go? Where is the Average? Where is the Average against the Benchmark? And to edit the sleep I now have to click on the 3 buttons on the top right, then click on edit, then click on time, etc. You just made it 3 clicks more than previously. Terrible implementation. Where is the Oxygen levels graph? Terrible set of changes.

It's really messy and not easy to read. It was so clear and easy before. I actually thought the app hadn't loaded properly and reloaded several times then googled it.... Why did you change something that worked so well.

A lot of people do not like the new layout, including me. Please change it back! (Remember when Fitbit changed the display last year and took away the battery percentage indicator? No one liked that either! So you added it back!) This amended/new "sleep stage display" is awful. Please do the same thing you did last year with the percentage display and change the sleep display  back to how it was!

Agree 100%. Terrible changes.

I don’t like it. I prefer the old format.

All the stats are still there, they are just really difficult to read.

That feature was on the previous version. You just clicked on the line graph and it showed you what time that sleep stage started.

It's ugly. I don't understand how the design team could have missed that. Ugly is a real good indicator that the data is not being presented clearly. I have limited need to see what time I woke and if I did, the platform severely hampers my ability to find it. Maybe my fingers are fatter than most. I don't see the navigation as being simpler - maybe I really didn't notice that I had to access one less page to get to it? I seem to recall that I could see older sleep scores before - how is this new? And thank you for the fuzzy pictures to show how great the new app is. Seriously, the new UI forced on us in the last year has consistently been a downgrade in user experience. Please give us an option.

I agree, it's dreadful.  The old version was so much easier to see and use and the Sleep info was one of the things I use most. I've only recently replaced my FitBit as the face fell off my old Versa Lite so, at the moment, I'm getting Premium for 6 months free but reading everyone's comments it looks like the Sleep info is only available if you upgrade to Premium which is shocking.

And, seriously, just exactly what do you mean by "people like you"? That sounds offensive, don't you think? Much more offensive than people "aged 60 - 69", which is what I think it used to say. And completely uninformative, since I am forced to go to the forums to ask this question, while "aged 60 - 69" is well defined. "Aged 60 - 69" makes the information actionable (I'm awake a lot at night, but it seems to be average for my age group and I am 69. I'm not going to worry excessively about it). "People like you" makes me scratch my head.

PS - I was not allowed to post this until I put spaces around the hyphen in 60 - 69. Without the spaces, "which is not permitted in this community. Please remove this content before sending your post." Huh?
