Absolutely hate it! Not user friendly, no break down of time that I was awake.. just have to assume it!
If it doesn't change back I'll be buying a different option..m that's how much I hate it! And I need a new one now!

Hi!
I understand that you have wanted to change the design to make it better for us users, but i have to agree with the others who explain that this new design is not as user Friendly as before.
I can see that this issue probably is due to you adding the sleep stage descriptions into to graph, where it is not needed to be. If you move them above the graph, just to explain what color is resembling what stage, the graph would look better... It just gets messy to add text into the graph, like you have with the new design. If you fix this, the design of the graph will instantly become much less messy. Even though i might not be a fan of the dotted lines, i think i understand your meaning of them. I dont think they will be much of an issue, as long as you remove the unnecessary text.
Two other things i have noticed and that a few has mentioned:
* the Edit sleep function is much more hidden and hard to find
* there is no easy way to view sleep back in time. I have been using the historic log list alot, which makes this new design much more complex. This may be a new learn pattern, i dont know, i will try this new design and see how i feel about it...
But in overall... I dont like to criticize, that is why i am trying to explain to you what the users may feel is busy above. I feel constructive criticism is important here..
But i am a user of both Microsoft and Google apps. As soon as I heard a moment ago, that Google has taken over fitbit... I do understand why the design is changing... My personal opinion is that Google is not that good at ux and Friendly user design, i am sorry but i feel this with all Google applications. The change you do now with the fitbit UI is just proof of this..
If there is something i have learned in life overall, simplicity is key... To add text where it is not needed, it makes it messy but also... To not add text where only symbols are used... That also gets confusing... This is very common in Google apps i feel... So i guess this is what i will be expecting now that Google has taken over fitbit... Unfortunate... Anyways, there needs to be a balance between data and explanations, data without explanations dont tell you anything, but too much makes it messy. I hope you will change this small description thing soon, maybe you will be able to save some users that have decided to switch brand

Is anyone other than me finding the new design for the app since transferred to Google very childish looking. I preferred the app design before all the changes

Couldn't agree more. Really don't like the new format - can't see percentages on the first page, only times. Much more.confusing visually. Need an option to return to original layout.

Absolutely agree. The new format is far harder to read, visually. Very poorly designed.

This is a retrograde step. The new visual on the opening sleep page is confusing to look at and there is no option to see each sleep stage separately, thus cutting out 'noise' from other stages. Block colours are far easier to read than lines, especially dotted lines. I cannot see any way in which this is an improvement and would like there to be an option to return to the old format. This seems to be a change for change's sake - it really does NOT help this user one bit.

I do not like the sleep update at all. Please go back to the previous graph.

I am a data driven person and love using that data to manage my sleep. Your latest sleep interface has dumbed that down considerably. While I can still search out the same data, it now takes much longe
r. Words like good or bad mean essentially nothing to me. Scores like 89 vs 79 tell me a lot. Actual heart rates tell me a lot. You are basically reducing your sleep app to next to useless. When running or biking, I want actual times and heart rates, not "good" or "fair". I like the same for sleep. If you continue down your current path of hiding stats two or three layers deep, I will be looking for a different product.
Thanks,

Me too, Kevin. Hate the new look and find it much harder to separate out the information. I, too will be leaving Fitbit if nothing is done to enable the previous layout to be chosen.

This has got to be the worst thing you could have done, did you use blind monkeys as your control test group for this?
how do i back out of this update?

Hi. Why do you keep removing existing, useful functions. I used to be able to set a challenge and see my improvements BTW now and a month ago. No more. Now I can't find my overnight restlessness. I'm assuming this has also gone. What it the point of that. So much data, but you just dumb it down.

Well folks, as I reported yesterday, I went into my app settings and synched fitbit to google, which brought back the old sleep tracker version. I figured it would be short lived, but thought it would at least last 24 hours!!! I am not sure when it flipped back to the new, hard to read version, but...."it's baaaaack"! I couldn't even go 1 night with the old version I was able to revert back to, so for those of you who asked how to do it, don't bother to try. Not only am I looking into new sleep tracking devices, but I'm now considering new email accounts and new search engines to distance away from google.

I really don’t like the new sleep stages interface screen. It’s unattractive and not graphically effective. The FitBit’s sleep data is a primary reason I use my Fitbit. Why “fix” something that wasn’t broken? I’m considering getting a different device. Very disappointing.
