Hi everyone! Starting today, you may notice a new sleep experience in your Fitbit app. If you don't have it right away, please be patient as it can take some time to reach all users.
Check out what’s new by going to the Fitbit Community blog.

The bottom line here is Google is not concerned if they lose thousands of pre-existing Fitbit users, as previous purchasers we have already paid Fitbit. They are targeting a wider audience, incorporating more healthcare data and AI, providing behavioral suggestions more like Noom. Wider audience, more users, more money.

Same. It is terrible. Leave it to Google to phook it up.

I'm so pissed off with these recent fitbit changes that I'm no longer going to be using fitbit. I had purchased the new Versa for my sister's bday and one for my mom for mother's day..returning them both now. Utter crap.

Sadly, you are right.
Google can and will dismiss all our criticism of their 'upgrades' as 'everyone dislikes change', and will never interpret any of our discontent as a sign that these changes are, in fact, objectively **ahem**e.
Google is too big to listen to any of us mere existing customers when they have a grander, bolder, more glorious vision filled with AI insights and pretty (vague) graphs for people with short attention spans.
They've seen complaints like mine a million times before and know that they can (and will) simply ignore them.

Oh blimey - tried to hit reply and accidentally hit the vote for button - you can bet I'm not the only one who did that, as absolutely no-one can actually like this downgrade. It's over a month and I never ever get used to it. It doesn't get any better or any easier to use. It's absolutely awful. I presume that the work experience kid who designed it is related to someone important in the organisation and no one had the nerve to tell the emperor that he was wearing no clothes? It's awful. Rebecca love, we know that you don't care about our opinion and that Fitbit has no future and our whinging is irrelevant, but at least pass on to someone in Google that their designs are terrible, absolutely awful. They have no understanding of good design, good functionality or people themselves. It's embarrassing how bad this thing is, which I presume is something Google already had in another product and foisted on Fitbit to streamline their service. Wrong way round. Doesn't get better, doesn't get easier, you don't get used to it. Do you know why - because it's absolute rubbish. Sorry, not sorry.

You can hit the vote for button again and it removes your vote Yassukovich. It's been over a month now and still no reply from them, I'm only leaving notifications on in the hope of seeing a reply to our concerns from Rebecca, that's clearly not going to happen though. As you say they don't care about us! I'm looking at other watches now.

I feel like I have lost a lot of the specific information that I used to be able to get. How do I drill down or see specific times I was awake for example? For ages I thought my premium had expired 😞

I hate the new app to be honest. I checked the old sleep app every morning, It was clear and easy to read.
Bring back the old one!

It is obvious that no one likes the new sleep tracker version. I personally hate it. And it is blatantly obvious that Fitbit is going to do absolutely nothing to change it back to the old version which was easily readable and one of the main reasons that I purchased my Fitbit.
Fitbit will not admit it made a mistake, is letting us vent, but has no plans to please it's customers.
Whoever designed the new sleep tracker version is an idiot!

Does anyone at FITBIT READ these? Your Sleep software UPGRADE was a DOWNGRADE. have fitbit Premium, but the changes that you made to the sleep Software in April are terrible. THE COMMUNITY AGREES...CHANGE IT BACK or at least reply why you made it more difficulty to read & use.

New software is not functional useful ..graphics need to be simplified and it would be very helpful to let users know you are going to change ..

I'm not impressed with the update. I want the restorative sleep measure and graph restored, it was important information for me. There is a direct correlation between the amount of restorative sleep I get and my morning blood sugars.

We paid for the Fitbit already. Now it belongs to Google. We no longer have value as customers as potential customers and an expanded audience is worth more money. Scraping off the data, presenting it as a health monitor, which many of us have found it useful for will make them boat loads of money. What Google is overlooking is, this presentation is too cumbersome for the average user, and for any Medical professional to do more than a quick overview as the charts look like machine readable code. They are under the impression that developing software that tells us what to do will be followed, have they never met a human? If we did exactly as we were directed we'd be drones.

Look, it's simple:
1. None of us in this thread like the new changes.
2. We would all love for these views to at least be acknowledged (probably wishful thinking, but I could be wrong).
3. If we users don't like it and we can't change it, then just leave a review in the app store and hope it gets seen.
That's pretty much all there is to it. I'm not going to waste my time banging my head against a wall 🙂

Just tried the app on my iPad, but it will not load as I have updates disabled on it and it is the previous version.
Thought I had a workaround for iPad but alas, it is not to be! 😢

What did you do and why did you change it?
The old format was SO much better, PLEASE bring it back!! I can no longer see my oxygen rate or even weeks and days at a glance. I rely on this data for my heart health. I can see why the Apple Watch is winning over Fitbit. Before you change anything you should reach out to users and ask their opinion, if something isn’t broke please don’t try and fix it!! This new design is not winning you more subscribers!!

Absolutely hate the new design. It's laughable that your product intro page for it says it's now "easier" when you've made it *more difficult* -- requiring us to click through 4 separate times to see what we used to be able to see in a nice-looking, easy to read summary on one page. At least give us the option to customize our own data readouts, so that we can go back to the better, old style. You really should have done wider testing on this update and solicited feedback before you forced it on everyone. Maybe then you would have gotten the message "if it's not broke, don't fix it". I actively LIKED the old style, and I HATE this new one every day when I open it. So every day, I feel a bit more resentful towards FitBit, and it's making me think of ditching paying for Premium and looking into other devices.
