About a week ago reporting for sleep changed and I am very unhappy with the lack of information the new approach brings. I am a premium subscriber and have changed settings to sensitive and still cannot get REM or deep sleep. I am very disappointed with this change and thinking of going to an Apple ecosystem now

Everything seems to have disappeared! I can’t see deep sleep, rem sleep or light sleep just total sleep, which was totally inaccurate as it included the best part of an hour when I was awake, having a shower (so not wearing my Fitbit) and reading. How do I revert to the information I had up until this morning?

Best Answer

2 says ago my detailed sleep data has disappeared and the only thing I get is sleep, restless and awake (like I used to get off very short sleep sessions under 3 hours).

No REM/deep/light/awake

This is really frustrating. Is this a bug or a product change?

Yayyyy, thank you for a suggestion! I’ve always liked the looks of the Kate Spade watch but just am not sure about the sleep program. Btw, any good suggestions will be looked at. Hear that Fitbit?

 I took am seriously unhappy with the lack of reporting REM sleep and Awake. Previously I have received this information and find it useful to match io with how I am feeling the next day.

It is awful. Please go back to how it was. I am currently looking into other products due to this change

The new sleep tracking display is terrible. I need to get a new Fitbit and am now looking at other options because the new sleep tracking is useless. It gives very little clear information, unlike the old one. Please please please bring back the old one asap.

@SueColetti

Don't waste your breath. We've been begging ever since the change. They have no intention of giving their customers what they want.

@viviannecarey

They don't care how many of us bail. They've made that clear.

There USED to be a back way into seeing the old version of the sleep view. The one where you can scroll through days of sleep scores. I just went in to look and they deleted it. The sleep tracking for previous days was the whole reason I got a Fitbit in the first place. Fitbit is now totally useless to me. Nothing to show my sleep doctor. I am done with this useless product. I have narrowed down some replacement products. You can be sure that NONE of them will be Google connected.

I loved my Fitbit but I also bought it for the sleep statistics but you know about that. I tried a Garmin-no good for sleeping and finally wound up buying a “Health” watch online and it has the most perfect sleep statistics, even better than the original Fitbit. It’s a large watch and if you have take a nap, it doesn’t chart that. Its a big watch face and I’d prefer a delicate one but this one does everything! Its $179 online.

Good decision. I did the same. Fitbit is not interested in hearing from us.

It's a downgrade, for all the reasons mentioned. It is sold as a solution to a problem, but the solution is still trying to find the problem (which doesn't exist). In the meantime we are robbed of info about REM-time distribution, screen tilt, dark mode, a.m.o.'s

Please restore these functions in a next update soon, and feel free to add solutions to real or fantasized problems alike, as long as you don' t sell downgrades as updates.

Six months later and the sleep information has still not been reverted to the functional version it was. This needs to be changed. We have been patient. Please correct the mistake that was made when the sleep page was "updated."  Waiting for this nightmare to end...

They have no intentions of changing back. I read that this new layout is
for THEIR analytics. I agree, it's almost useless to the user who paid for
the device.

I am disappointed. This new Sleep page is ugly. I want the happy moon and fireworks back when I get a good sleep score. Where are all the cute animations that used to make FitBit stand out? It is depressing. I understand Google is ruining Fitbit to force everyone to buy Pixel Watch instead, and no amount of us asking for improvements is going to change that- it's a decision based on money, not on user experience. I'm just disappointed about it.

I wouldn’t hold my breath, thousands of users have complained and they are
ignored. I suggest looking for alternatives.

Yesterday I got the black screen of death for most of the day. It has happened before for days. It came back on in the evening. I’m fed up with Fitbit/Google. I will be looking for new device during black Friday sales. Any one have any recommendations. I was looking at arminG or  PadeS & Co.

Ringconn. Love sleep and exercise and stress data. I have increased my
sleep time using this ring.

I’m the same, I have 2 new watches but it’s hard to get the technology working. I hate that Fitbit did this.
