Restlessness?

Hey, guys. I just wanted to see what everyone's restlessness through the night tends to be. It looks like I'm restless anywhere from 10-30x in the night. Not sure what to compare it to.

Yeah, I'm averaging about 25x restlessness a night and none or only one period of awake (1 minute).

Hi! I am quite new to fitbit for less than a month. But I noticed restlessness too. Mine is 6x-15x restless. It seems weather alters. I live in HK the weather is swinging these days and I found myself have more restless if its muggy.

I am and always have been a very light sleeper.  Did a sleep study about 8 years ago and was put on a CPAP, but, I think everybody who does a sleep study comes out with a CPAP.

However, I must admit that I sleep much better with the CPAP and now can not sleep at all without it!

My FitBit shows that I am restless an average of 19 times a night.  Many of those times I can contribute to specific events; wife coming to bed, wife going to bathroom, dog entering or leaving room, etc.  As I said, I am an extremely light sleeper....

If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got.

You can ask your doctor for a sleep study. There is one that you can do at home. When you get ready for bed, you put it on your finger and go to sleep. It measures the oxygen you get during the night. If you are restless or snore, seem to be tired in the morning after sleeping all night, you may have sleep apnea- that is where you stop breathing during sleep. Undiagnosed can lead to heart attack or stroke. Hope this helps.

I've tried many things. Meds have worked but they're not good on the liver if taken for many years. Natural products do work a bit. I also noticed that I sleepwalk and have anxiety attacks during my sleep when I'm about to get my period.. so my problem might also be hormonal.

Have you made any changes that have been effective? My sleep is similar and I have tried all of the things you have mentioned. I DO wake tired... Still looking for ideas 😊

@MissMel @jess05 I've tried tea made with valerian root and passiflora (passion flower), it helps me relax at night and have a great sleep. Mixing those herbs with lemon balm and chamomile can actually enhance its relaxing action too!  Also, I've heard that drinking warm milk (cow or almond) before going to bed can also help you sleep better. Oh, and of course! Linden tea is a great choice to drink and have a tight and smooth sleep. Smiley Very Happy

@MissMel  I've tried all of those.. they do help a little. I've started taking EstroSense (womensense) everyday for about a month. It does help. I still take 1/10 of my trazodone during week nights. Notice that I have been having sleep problems ever since I was a baby. I used to sleepwalk 5-6 times per week for years.. I have panic attacks only at night and I also hallucinate and dream while being awake at night (about 1-2 times a month). This happens more when I'm about to get my period. I am being followed by a sleep doctor and will be starting my appointments with a sleep  psychologist. Besides that I am an extremly healthy person so I hope that one day my sleeping problems will be cured.

Oh, I also sometimes use cal-gem by herbal gem and noctigem. They also help a little.
