I have followed the direction to find the tab so I can add a friend but the friend tab option does not appear.  I could use some help.  Thank upi

It's great to see on board @sharson! Hope you're doing great. Which device are you using? In case that it's an Android make sure that you're using the new version of the Dashboard. The Fitbit App will look like the first picture. So you can tap on Friends, and you will get the "plus" sign to add friends. Or you can use the Fitbit.com Dashboards in a computer, the tile will look like the second picture, you hoover the mouse over the tile and you will get the option to find friends.
