Hi!
Does anyone have experience adding additional slots to a Charge/Charge HR/Surge band? I have a Surge that is too big for me but I want to continue to use it. I do not have the option of replacing it, have already spoken with support. I would have to buy another one. It's too big now. It's obviously quite easy to snip the end, but adding slots....
It's some sort of elastomer right? If i wanted to add additional slots, would it be better to burn them in or snip them in? I'm concerned that snipping them in will leave the new slots prone to cracking where burning them in will fuse the material around the hole. Am I on the right track here?
I was thinking of using a modified paperclip in the shape of a small rectangle, heating it up with a blowtorch and punching additional holes. Does that sound like the right way to go? I have a leather punch but again I'm worried it will leave the band prone to cracking.
What do you guys think? Trust me, I cant exchange it. I need to figure out a way to do this. Or it becomes a very expensive paperweight.
Anyone familiar with how Fitbit actually does it during the manufacturing process?
Thanks in advance!!
