Hi Crew Just a little bit of advice on wearing aFitBit Surge when you have a blood test.
Today I had to have a blood test so I asked the nurse if I should take off my FitBit before she stabed me with the needle.
The nurse said nah leave it on it will be ok.Which turned out to be a big No No as I soon found out as the nurse pocked the needle in.
My eye lit up as I felt about 12 electric shocks from the Surge in my wrist an fingers on my left hand,O-DOO-DAR
.
The nurse asked me why I had jurked my arm around an clenched my fist,So I told her what had happned to me.
The nurse relpyed that the electric shock must have been from the FitBit.
Just telling you crew this story incase any of you have a pace maker an it may effect the heart or pace maker, it would be best to ask your doctor an get advice from them as I am no doctor.
Hope this bit of advice save anyone from a bit of shock treament.
Kindess Regards,Dingo.

Welcome to the forums @DINGO-2016 and thank you for sharing your experience.
Please know that all Fitbit trackers should be safe for use for people with pacemakers; however, the Aria scale is not. (Here's why). If they have any concerns about this; it's best to ask the Pacemaker's company or cardiologist.
In regards to the discomfort you encountered when you had your blood test; we're not aware of anything within the tracker which would contribute to the situation you've described. In this case my best recommendation is to consult your physician.
Let me know if you have any questions, have a great day!

or the nurse picks nerves.
i remember more than 10 years ago, when i broke my arm at 3 places when skiing, for a local anesthesia, they searched the nerves before injecting products to sleep them.
was like an electric shock.

Helena,I have has 100's of electric shocks in my life an what I encountered was Quite a few very quick electric shocks in my left hand fingers an wrist.
I am a refrigeration teck an in that line of work you do get quite a few electric shocks,So I do know what I received.
I would suggest that you get your Teck people to look into this matter farther.
May be even go as far as going an having a blood test with the same fitbit model an see if you have the same prob's as I did,Because it as not in my mind.
I am not trying to be a smart **ahem**,I would just like to know what really happend to me.
Regards,Dingo-2016.
