I'm so confused.

I use Strava and MyFitnessPal in addition to Fitbit.  I have a Surge.  I spin using a Peloton bike, which auto sends the info to Strava.  Strava then sends that info to MyFitnessPal, which then sends it back to Fitbit (I really prefer it not send it, but don't think that can be turned off).  Anyway, in the past, I have also set the Surge to "spinning".  This causes a double exercise post on fitbit.  Seems that Fitbit doesn't count the calories twice, which is fine I don't want double credit.  Today though, I decided to NOT turn on the spinning function of the Surge.  I did this to avoid the double posting of exercise.  Somehow though, fitbit says i had a "bike" activity.  It was actually spinning, but close enough I guess.  It doesn't seem to be giving me calorie credit for that though (at least not on myfitnesspal).

Hope that makes sense.

My question is, is this the auto feature?  If so, how does it know I was on a bike (spinning), and not walking, running, lifting weights, etc??  And weirdly, now that it is doing this, MyFitnessPal is not seeing that bike workout.  Its like I'm getting NO calorie credit now.

I'm so confused....  😞

Cancel--figured it out.  My Fitness Pal was set to Australian time, and the other apps were set to Michigan time.  That seems like it is likely the issue.

How did you get your Strava to sync to map my fitness?
