Band wearing out

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After only 15 months, I have noticeable wear on the rubber band. So much so that the plastive underneath is showing. This is unacceptable. This watch was a crazy amount of money and it's MEANT to be worn day in and day out. Of course my warranty is up, and the store won't touch this thing at this point but this is really disappointing.

There is a little knick on the face, and I own responsibility for that, but the wear on the band after just a year is really terrible. I had no accident with the band. I never fell or scraped the band against anything. Shame on you FitBit.

The Surge is a premium fitness product. After only 15 months my band is wearing through to the plastic beneath. It's getting worse faster now that the hole is open.

I talk to fitbit.

Not only is there nothing they can do because I'm outside of 12 months, but she offered me 25% off... The same deal available to EVERYONE for Father's Day. Insulting.

This is really disgusting. I get that I'm outside of the 12 months, but this is a premium product. The woman told me "they do not garantee a products lifespan".

I will not be purchasing another one. How dare you FitBit.

My band is wearing out too. I just finished a chat session with support and was offered 25% off as my warranty expired last month. I doubt I will be using the coupon as I have lost faith in fitbit.

A $250 watch that only lasts as long as its 10 cent band is ridiculous. I had assumed that the band was replaceable but it is not.

Fitbit should recall the Surge product.

What gets me (besides the obvious that the bands are simply not made to last) is that the CS reps act as if they're doing us a huge favor with the lame 25% off discount.  I wonder how dumb they think their customers are.

I have had two bands fail me in the last 16 months.  One was replaced as it broke/failed in the first 12 months.  The second one failed after 7 months, but the warranty period is 12 months from the original purchase.  I was also offered 25% - but I am not sure I will puchase a Fitbit again.  $250 for a watch with a band that fails in under a year is not worth it to me.  I am not hard on the watch by any means - just daily wear.

Little frustrated with the quality of the Surge.  My wife's ChargeHR is just fine....

To a dedicated fitbit member I would have thought at least 50% off.
