Battery life drains almost inmediately

I was gifted a brand new surge, two days ago and I have had to charge it twice already. I just charged about 4 hours ago and the batter is almost half gone. Don't know if it is stuck on GPS mode or how to turn it off? Anyone else have this issue? Says battery life is supposed to last 7 days.

fitbit application ->Account->Surge

turn off  "Always Connected" options
turn off " All-Day Sync" options

Then Do a Restart
