Bluetooth sync issues

Hi, I'm no longer able to sync my Surge with my android fitbit app.

I'm using a Samsung galaxy A7 which was recently updated to Android 6 (Marshmallow).
Here's What I've tried to fix the issue:

Restarted my Surge
Restated Bluetooth and location on phone Uninstalled/reinstalled the Fitbit app
Switched Bluetooth mode to Pair

I then removed the device from the app and attempted to add it again. The app was able to find my Surge but failed to connect to it. I tried the same steps with an older phone (galaxy s3) and was still unable to connect.

However when I connected Surge to my laptop (windows10) via the USB cable, the windows app found the tracker and successfully synced it.

It seems like the Bluetooth function in my Surge has stopped working all of a sudden and I can't think of anything else to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm getting the same problem. The Surge can connect with the app (I can see todays stats in the app), but for some reason the app can't connect with the server. Occasionally I see various errors along the lines of "cannot connect to server" or "time and date on your phone are incorrect".

I don't sync this way often, and it just did a software update, so there's a few variables that could be the cause. This is using a Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet 2014 edition, on Android 5.1.1

If you look on Google Play it seems that quite a few people are having syncing trouble with the latest update to the app. Looks like they messed something up. This is why I dislike the auto-updating thing Smiley Frustrated

Annoying when things don't work. Gives me that horrible syncing feeling Smiley Wink

I'm not convinced it's the update because I have the same issue with my
laptop. The Fitbit app on windows 10 can find the tracker and connect to it
only via the USB cable but can't with the Bluetooth/dongle method.

Could be different issues to me then. For me, the app certainly has a problem talking to the sever. I also have the Fitbit aria, and it syncs OK but the app can't see the latest measurement. The app can sometimes see the latest stats from my watch (including real time heart rate), but they don't sync to the web-based dashboard
