I just bought my fitbit surge today and it' already pre-programed with 2,069 calories. How do I reset the calories?

The Surge has been out of production for a while now. Is it possible you bought a used one? Also, burned calories include those burned at rest based on age, sex, weight etc. They are not based on anything the tracker records. The later in the day you look at your dashboard the more of them you will see.
