My last entry was deleted for some reason, but my Fitbit surge will sync to my phone but will not update to my challenges. I have checked and many people have this issue. I am not in a different timezone from anyone in the challenges and I also do not use a third party application to track my steps. I also do not track my steps manually, the steps are synced from my surge directly to my phone application and android OS. I called customer service today but the lady could not help me, they said they would forward this to their tech department, but this was over a week ago and have heard nothing. Fitbit needs to use all they money that are recieving from purchases and invest them into updates and employees who seem like they have experience with the.devices. please if anyone has the same issues please post or if.you have figured something out to help I would appreciate it.

I am having the same problem right now and not sure why either.  It's driving me nuts because I am in a couple of different challenges and it says I am at the bottom when I should be more towards the top compared to the other competitors.  Possibly a software glitch? My active minutes are also not showing up and I have had plenty of active minutes today.  I tried restarting my phone a couple of different times and even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it with no results.

I actually fixed this. I ended up deleting my surge through the app then resyncing it.  Just poewr your surge off until it tells you on the app to power it back off.

Go into your devices menu on the application.

Select trash can on top right after selection your device.

After device is deleted hit the + sign to add a device and select your device. (before doing this power your device off)

It will take you through the steps as when you firsr bought your watch.

After device is added be sure to log back into your account and hopefully this helps you. Also i have noticed I have checked the option all day sync and always connected. However if you notice the power draining on your device too fast. you might want to disable always connected.  Please let me knowif this worked for you like it did for me so we can give people a solution to this glitch.
